Hale Pharmacy
Since the new Hale Pharmacy in Ivy Farm Court has been open in one of the end units of the old Sparr shop, it has proved a success. Even so that the final 2 units that were once the Sparr shop over 20 years ago, are now under refurbishment for the Pharmacy to expand it`s operation.business. For many years the old Sparr units have remained empty and un-used with the unsightly blue boards hiding the broken glass behind them.
The work that is now taking place to refurbish the units will take a few months, but the main Pharmacy for customers to purchase medicine and collect their prescriptions will remain open for business as usual

Hale Cricket Club
After many years of Hale Cricket club being active, Hale Village Online has learnt that the lease was not re-newed after expireing in December 2005. Therefore it appears now, that Hale Village has now no cricket club.
The pitch in which the club used, was once the private playing pitch of the Ireland Blackburne familly. Hale cricket club where allowed to use the pitch by the Ireland Blackburnes as Hale were using a poor rough cut area in Hale park. The current pitch/land is owned by Hale Park Estates and the club where allowed to lease it at a reduced rate. However, funding and interest seems to have played a part in the cricket clubs demise
