John Lennon Airport and The Mersey Forest launch Lastcall.org.uk

Liverpool John Lennon Airport and The Mersey Forest have joined together to give passengers the opportunity to contribute to their local environment and take a step towards off-setting the carbon emissions from their flight.

The new initiative known as ‘Last Call!’ provides passengers with the opportunity to invest in their local environment before or after taking a flight from John Lennon Airport by helping to plant trees in the nearby Mersey Forest, the UK’s largest Community Forest.

There are two ways in which passengers can support the scheme either by donating money in the collection box which is located in the Airport Departure Lounge or by contributing online at www.lastcall.org.uk.

JLA is part of the first UK Airport Group to instigate such a passenger Carbon Sequestration Scheme and is looking forward to a long term sustainable partnership with The Mersey Forest that will allow the scheme to grow in years to come.

Contributions made by passengers will go towards planting trees to help absorb some of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from their flight. The Airport Company has also pledged to match passenger contributions made at the collection box therefore doubling the amount going towards this worthy cause.

Andrew Dutton, Environment Manager at John Lennon Airport, said: “The joint scheme introduced by the Airport and The Mersey Forest is an excellent opportunity for passengers to contribute towards making their local environment a cleaner and greener place to live. Until now passengers haven’t had the chance to give something back to their local environment and probably wouldn’t have considered doing so before or after a flight but following this launch we hope to raise awareness and kick-start the donations made towards the Last Call! fund.”

Paul Nolan, Project Director at The Mersey Forest, added: “There is increasing awareness about the importance of climate change and the need for us all to make changes to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide we produce. This programme will continue to raise awareness, create new woodlands and help to lock up carbon from the atmosphere.”

Donations made by passengers will not only help to off-set emissions, funding will also create invaluable woodland valued by wildlife and people alike to enjoy for years.

Was it a scam?

Hale Village Online (along with other people/websites/companies and some from Hale) was contacted by a lady calling herself “Tari McNamara” over 4/5 months ago. Allegedly she claimed to be a relative of the Ireland Blackburnes who resided at Hale Hall over 100 years ago, her full title when signing emails was Ms. Tari Ireland-Hardman McNamara VP European Division Mooselook Holdings Ltd. Montreal . She claimed to be involved with a project to rebuild and rededicate the Hall back to the Ireland Blackburnes.

Hale Village Online was advised to conduct a Google search on the name ” Tari McNamara”. We came up with the following;;

Due Diligence link 1

Hale Village Online did cross references and Google searches on other people named in the above due diligence, along with various websites and Escrow funding mechanisms (that she quoted in emails to various other parties) 1 month in from when she made first contact, Hale Village Online also conducted an isp number trace on her emails which confirmed her location/were emails were originating from and indeed the real isp provider. This lead us and others, to be of the opinion that may be the lady called Tari McNamara who had contacted us, could allegedly be that of the same in the due diligence? Our opinion is based upon past email and telephone contact with the lady mentioned. Wether this is the lady in the due diligence, readers should not form their own opinions from the information contained in this short item.
The lady called Tari McNamara, allegedly contacted many people, and even allegedly organised meetings with people to view the site of Hale Hall even though she was in another country. From the beginning many were aware of the due diligence material (above in the links) from an early stage as they also had done searches on her name and those who she was emailing to (via a suspect Yahoo email address), kept her at arms length, and were surprised at how long she was prepared to spin the tale out.

Meetings where arranged by her to view and walk the ruins/grounds of Hale Hall and Hale Lighthouse, both viewings took place with various people from landscape companies,  estate agents and interior designers.

Miss McNamara also claimed that a film of the Ireland Blackburnes was to be made regarding the rebuild, along with a film crew arriving in Hale at the end of July. Various charity options were allegedly put forward from Miss Mcnamara including a mention of a dontaion to a Liverpool Food bank.
Hale Village Online was aware all the time that no land was for sale on estate land were Hale Hall was once situated (all remains are foundations and woodland), or had been allegedly sold to her. At once stage she allegedly claimed to be organising a travelling party of her and her team. Hale Village Online was contacted (less than 1 month ago) by a Charter Company and an Events Company from New York. They said that they also had been contacted by Tari McNamara ref travelling and events bookings for a grand event for Hale Park and the Docks in Liverpool.

Later, it was to be, that the charter company banned Ms McNamara from chartering a yacht called the MY Saravona, as no funds were forth coming after several requests to fund the travelling. At this time she (allegedly) was still claiming that the yacht was booked,, indeed it wasn`t!

It now appears (after 3 weeks) she has vanished without trace, as emails aren`t been answered or indeed being ignored, or if she is allegedly the same person in the above due diligence material,, she may have been allegedly arrested or found out??

It makes many wonder of where the funds would have allegedly come from, or indeed if there were any funds at all and for who`m she was allegedly trying to scam?

Also if she were an original Ireland Blackburne,, surely she would have gone about it in a totally different and more professional manor than what was portrade in emails and telephone calls?

For factual reference on the Ireland Blackburne family,, visit the Hale Hall pages of Hale Village Online.

Source of information,

Email, telephone and background information from due diligence searches.

Please note that details of a personal and more sensative nature have not been included.

For those whom she communicated with,, they were from the start,  of the opinion that it was a windup or a scam, because the simple reason being,, that to rebuild Hale Hall was too good to be true in a small village such as Hale.

Fenced Out!

Local farmer Bill Webb has commissioned the services of a Fencing Contractor to erect new fences around some if not all of the fields he farms in Hale. Recently, and over many years, numerous wooden fences around Hale and mainly at the bottom of Withins Way, also the area by the Light House Gates, have been demolished by mindless vandals riding motor bikes and quad-bikes through them in order to scramble around the fileds. A number of locations and fields have already been fenced off, and brand new gates added at the openings to allow farm traffic access. The locations/fields that have been upgraded with a new fence and gates as of 20th August are, Carr Lane (The old Footy pitch & Brick Field), Ramsbrook Lane(Houghton Towers to the Sewerage Farm) and Town Lane (Curlendar Field).
