Hale Park

Local Councilor Mike Wharton reports, that work for Hale Park and the Multi Games area will commence in January 2007.

Various funding opportunities are being explored, including a large bid for Heritage Lottery Funding.

A report from an external consultant has been received to support the work Friends Of Hale Park is doing. Amongst some of the work and proposals is a narrowing of the path/roadway in the park towards Hale Hall/ Hale Hall Gardens, removal of the bunds, which will be replaced by ditches, opening up the views around the park. Local historian Peter Hatton is supporting the historical element with in the report.

Councilor Wharton says that this project in Hale will be “a great boost for the village”. Some of the plans include new paths, toddlers/childrens play area, seating and flower beds and more.

On the aerial shot below shows Hale Park situated dead center, with the path/roadway running through the middle of the park.. This road way belongs to Hale Park Estates, at the time the Ireland Blackburnes resided at Hale Hall over 100 years ago, this track would have entered the wooded area baring slightly left past Hale Hall Gardens and up to the main enterence of Hale Hall, which is no longer there.

Hale Park was once part of Hale Halls open grounds for the Ireland Blackburne family who resided at the Hall.

Edit

Please note that the above mentioned plans, are the only plans for the area`s mentioned. For those who were aware of the Hale Hall rebuild rumours should disregard them as pure rubbish/trash, as there are no plans that legally exist or have been submitted to our local Authorities or Councils for approval to build Hale Hall on the plot where Hale Hall once stood!

The person that appeared during March/April of 2006 claiming to be a relative of the family that once occupied Hale Hall over 100 years ago, and claiming that, there were plans to rebuild and re-dedicate the Hall,, has now gone into hiding. It appears she has made no contact with any of the UK/Hale parties, people or companies (that she origonally contacted) for well over 3 months now.
