The Remembrance Sunday commemorations were well attended in Hale Village this weekend. The proceedings were organised by the Hale British Legion, it was conducted by the vicar the Reverend Janice Collier, and Father Ed Cain.
Villagers gathered at Hale War Memorial at 10.40am which was proceeded at 10.30am by a short parade along Hale High Street from Aran Close to the War Memorial. The procession included local Freemen, the Lord Mayor Of Hale Mr Mal Sutton plus members of the Local Parish Council and Halton Councilor for the Hale Ward Mr Mike Wharton, the parade was lead by the Scots Band.


The service at the War Memorial included hymns, prayers, blessings and the two minutes silence at 11.00am, later followed by the laying of wreaths at the base of the memorial by Councilors, local community groups and those villagers who had brought their own to lay.
After the service at the memorial,, the procession marched to St Marys Church for a short service conducted by the Rev Janice Collier. Once the service in the Church had taken place the procession then marched to Hale Village Hall where a buffet/refreshments were laid on for those that had taken part in the mornings remembrance events.
