Multi Use Games Area – Work starts
Work is now underway to build the new Muli Use Games Area (MUGA) in Hale Park. The new games area will be located on the right hand side of the park behind the football pitch adjacent to the changing rooms.
To mark the event, members of The Friends Of Hale Park welcomed the contractor and it`s workers to the park, who will be building the games area. Work is expected to take around 6 weeks to complete the installation.
Above are members of the Friends Of Hale Park, from left to right; Jim Ross, Eve Hudson, Karen Wharton, Mike Wharton, Mal Sutton, Peter Heeley, Marie Fisher and Don Allerston. Also, between Mike and Mal, is Richard(black jacket, red collar) who is connected with the construction of the MUGA.
Below we see everybody chatting and talking to the contractor during the morning, also the mini digger begins it`s work of excavating the foundations. The morning was very sunny, as can be seen by the way the hi-viz jackets have been illuminated by the sun on the photographs. The area is marked out with several pegs to mark the location of the games area.
