Trees blown down in the woods
Several trees have come down in the woods along the track to the cricket/football pitch. These trees were blown down during the high winds of several weeks ago. Also around Hale Hall gardens, around the walled garden, quite a number of other trees appear to have been blown down.
Above you can see that the track to the cricket pitch is completely covered with fallen trees, even one of the older specimens has had it`s top half completely taken/blown off and snapped by the wind.

Old Aircraft at Liverpool JL Airport
Did you “spot” it?
A number of old aircraft have been using Liverpool John Lennon Airport over the last 24 hours. The Russian cargo built Antonov 12 s of Aerovis Airlines have been seen at the airport today, noted for their noise and black smoke on take off and arrival, the old planes can not go un-noticed.
Not to mention the usual traffic of Easyjet A319 Airbus`s and Ryanair 737`-800`s .

Winter arrives in Hale Village
Winter has arrived here in Hale, most of the village is covered in around 3 to 6 inches of snow, although most of the roads are passable and in use as normal, some minor routes and footpaths remain slippery under feet. Below you can see Ivy Farm Shops, War Memorial, Hale Park, High Street and Pepper Street.
Even the contractors are still working in the park, on the Games area, in this cold weather!
At the time of this entry, the snow is still falling fairly heavily late Thursday afternoon here in Hale Village.

New Freemen Of Hale Invested
Carol Parry informs us that at last weeks Freemans Annual Court, held at the Wellington Public House/Hotel, the Freemen of Hale invested Keith Banks, Steve Farrell and Robert Whitley as new Freemen of the village. This is in recognition of work they have carried out (often voluntary) within the community of Hale Village.
