Withins Way Traffic Order

For those local folk of Hale Village who walk regularly down Withins Way, they will have seen over the years that it has been the victim of Fly-Tipping, especially at the  “S” bend and also by the gates and turn style at the end of the lane.  It is now hoped that a traffic order will be placed on the lane during the summer, banning vehicular access to the lane.  Once the ban is in place a gate will be installed stopping vehicles from going down the lane completely, along with a type of turn-style that will allow pedestrians to use the lane for walking/sightseeing.

The Freemen Of Hale

The villages annual Freemens Parade will take place in May.  Carol Parry informs us that the procession is on Sunday May the 20th.  Those taking part in the procession are,, The Lord Mayor of Hale Village Mal Sutton, The Freemen Of Hale, The Guildswomen of Hale, Hale Rose Queen-Emma Craine along with her Rose Buds, Hale Brownies and the procession will be lead by a Marching Band.  The entire Freemens procession will leave Tech9 (Woodcocks old garage) at 10.30am sharp and will make it way through Hale Village to St Mary`s Chruch were a special Freemens Service will take place.
