Granada TV in Hale Village on 31.10.07
Granada TV were filming in Hale Village during October 31st around various locations in the village,, by pure fluke,, I was lucky enough to chat for several minutes to the presenter of the item to be aired in two weeks.
He complemented the village since his last visit, several years ago,, on how lovely the village looked. The film crew where at the War Memorial and then moved on, to the Church around 10.45am..

Nuisance Youths
Have you noticed the increase in nuisance youths over the last 2 months?
Pepper St, Howells Way and Ivy- Farm Court appear to be the “out of sight out of mind” areas where most of the local youths pass through or indiscriminately have ago at peoples property? From, for-sale signs being torched to Council Housing Trust fences kicked in, even the new metal planter by the phone box is one of the targets? Do their parents know what they are upto and do they care?
In one of the last CAT meetings in the village Hall. it was announced various patrols were to be stepped up, yet when speaking to locals a month later no one had spotted any increase in patoling.
Now it is the dark nights, have you seen an increase in patrols?
(Up-dated, 31st October)
Nuisance youth behaviour continued during the last evenings of October Tuesday 30th & Wednesday 31st in Hale Village from around 18.00hrs to 22.00hrs. Several youths were noted running from the badly lit Howells Way to behind Ivy Farm Court shops,, with a well known local villager in pursuit. No doubt he had experienced damage to his property and could have been after the perpetrator/s
Above are a collection of pictures taken of the up-turned planter in front of Ivy Farm Court shops.
Several villagers have expressed their disgust to the owner of Hale Village Online,, at other alleged attempts of vandalism around the village by local youths, with little or no presence from the Police..
