Wheely?

For those who view this site and are from the village,, have you heard of anyones wheely bin going missing? If the answer is yes, then here is where they are ending up, yes wheely (really)

For those who walk around the old cricket pitch, a large black oval of burnt grass has been visible for a long while,, on closer inspection you will notice lots of wheely bin axels?

Also,, another location is the burnt-out seat in the middle of the parkland opposite the play area .

Crib at the Post Office

Mid December saw the building of the village Crib get underway at Hale Post Office.

For the last seven years now, this new village tradition has grown, with many villagers and their children attending the procession from St Marys Church to the Post Office for the blessing, followed by a procession to the Wellington Pub to see Father Christmas and sing carols.

Between the 13th and 16th of December several villagers worked through bitterly cold days building the crib, from making the main frame, to installing the glass and figures, the end date for completion was Sunday 16th.
