While walking through Hale Park this Sunday (11th May) I bumped into a local villager with his dog, we got talking about the cricket pitch and what a state it is in, with the old side screen dumped in the corner etc etc-along with the wheely bin burning ritual which seems to still be going on there..
While we chatted for 15 minutes, it became clear, that two cars that were parked up at the far end of the old drive/track near Hale Hall Gardens, the occupants seemed to be doing some “twoing and throwing” from each others cars,, two young lads in their early-mid 20s? We gave an educated guess that they certainly weren’t swapping football stickers.
It has been alleged that some form of drug dealing could be taking place in the park, going from what we both saw,, we would not disagree with it.
Now that Halton Council have trimmed the base of the trees last year along the drive/track, giving more of an open view across the parkland,, alledged drug dealing could be still going on, at the far end of the drive/track slightly out of site of locals using the park..

Hello William – there are lots of things in the park people should report – people up to no good dont want to draw attention to themselves. A couple of months ago our local c.p.o. said all he had come across was courting couples in cars – no harm in that but I mostly see the same cars and vans with the same people in them (male)and I agree they are not swapping stickers.I have just had a call off a visitor to say the car a the lodge house has had the window broken – apparently nothing has been taken but this has happened in the last hour on a Sunday afternoon – again someone must have seen something.
