Steve Marnicks Update
The following report comes courtesy of PCSO Steve Marnick.
Some recent news. A motor car was reported to us by a local resident due to its bad/dangerous driving in and around the park on Wednesday. Thanks to the informant who gave us good details the vehicle was seized and the driver arrested for failing to stop. A 110cc motorbike was found abandoned in the village and checks are being made to see if it may be stolen or if it has been used in the recent spate of illegal moto use. From about early July onward there was a spate of thefts from motor vehicles in and around Church Road – especially the end of the road by the gates heading to the lighthouse – An operation was put in place using, amongst other methods, covert vehicles. Two males were arrested and pleaded guilty to 13 offences in the area. Any residents/workers from the village who have any questions, concerns or information are asked to make contact with me – on voicemail 0845 4586383 or via email if they prefer. Hale Village Online….
If you are a regular user of the park for dog walking or taking your child to the play area, don’t forget that you can make the park a better and safer place for local villagers, by simply carrying a pen and paper. If you come across dangerous driving, ie, youths performing hand brake turns, or wheel spinning on the gravel track-especially while there are infants or young toddlers about, then please take the registration number and pass it on to the Police, as in most cases,, some abnormality does arise with the occupants of the vehicle.
Also, if you have notice odd goings on by/behind the changing rooms, then please do inform the Police. Rumours and eyewitness accounts over the last few weeks, suggest, that the area around the changing rooms is being used as a drugs drop/collect point by male individuals?
