For the last couple of weeks,, possibly at least a month,, numerous comments from locals have indicated that youths from elsewhere(arriving in taxis or on buses-possibly from either Widnes or South Liverpool),, have been congregating in Hale Park, bringing in ale,, alcohol and getting p**ssed up around the park, as well as inflicting criminal damage to some of the new play equipment. Which resulted in, (I assume) was the police presence around the village about 2 weeks back.. If so,, then possibly a case of horse, stable door, bolted?
While taking my usual walk around the park,, I spotted evidence of alcohol presence in the park, see below
…
Also, there were empty bottles of Vodka and cans in Hemmings wood..
Also,, if you know anyone who has had there wheely bin go missing,, then it may have ended up on the old cricket pitch by the recked side screen. Evidence shows around several wheely bin axles off bins that have been taken and burnt out by kids. Only several months ago,, several kids burnt out a wheely bin behind the village hall- and more recently behind the shops-this wheely bin was taken from a pensioners bungalow near the shops!?

There is a large group of 13-16yr olds in the park every Friday and Saturday evening – last week the fire brigade were called because they had lit a fire – thankfully not the new fence. I think there is drink involved and It would be a shame if the regular users of the M.U.G.A.were intimidated. The police have been in and out and showed a greater presence than usual but its difficult in the dark to pinpiont where the group are and they do go into the woods.

There was a large group of youngsters walking up past the shops (Sunday night) heading for the park, this was about 19.30hrs,, possibly around 10 to 12 in total. About 15 minutes later a couple of lads on peddle bikes where hanging around the shops and then headed for the park too..
While I was heading through Hale Bank,, a bout 4 lads and a girl were heading in the Hale direction,, possibly the usual gang that is using the park for their own purposes?
There were also what sounded like a couple of off-road vehicles knocking around the village in the afternoon too.
