Hale Carnival Preparations

Volunteers from the Hale Carnival Committee were out in force on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th June, preparing the stage for Saturdays Carnival in Hale Park.
On the Thursday, 11th June,, volunteers were out in the center of the village hanging bunting around the park entrance and on the railings around the village green were the War Memorial is sighted.
Several villagers commented, of how lovely the entrance and memorial looked adorned with the bunting and flags. One villager said, “that it looked wonderful“!?
The main thrust of activity, came all day-Friday 12th, when the center of activity was to prepare the park for the Carnival. Early on, on Friday morning volunteers were out in the park setting up tents, marquees and the show arena-area for the main attractions of the day. Upon leaving at just before 5pm on the Friday evening, two large arctics arrived to form the main stage area for the bands and entertainment to perform from.
